Changes
The website is currently undergoing some changes to tie in with the production of my first (and probably my last) photobook.
I hope to publish this in October and all the changes to the website will be completed by then.

As I am increasing the number of photographs on the website, I have decided it will be easier to break these down into sections and I hope to add more sections soon. This ties in with a project I am working on, which I hope to let you have more information shortly.
Some photographs fit into more than one section, so some images will be duplicated I'm afraid.

My summer project.
My own photobook!
Throughout the last few months, I have been toying with the idea of printing my own photobook and I can hear you all saying, no, don't do it!
I have been to a number of events during the summer of talks by photographers, some of whom were published by publishers and the majority, who are self published.
These were fascinating and I learnt a lot from them.
Mainly, how difficult it it to get published today, how expensive it is, how difficult it is to sell your books and that you will almost certainly not make any money from this exercise.

ON DISPLAY
Yes, my first little exhibition in Southsea has now increased to 2 coffee shops
I'm really pleased to say that I now have my first little display of some of my photographs on display in the Broadway Coffee Roasters coffee shop on Highland Road, Southsea. This has now increased to 2 coffee shops with a small selection now on display at Coffee#1 in Palmerston Road.
There are 5 photographs on display at each venue and these will be changed evry month.
If you love coffee as much as I do, then pop down to enjoy a great cup at these lovely places and see my photographs at the same time.
You might even bump into me!

SIZE MATTERS
Yes, size does matter for lots of reasons
Since first getting interested in photography and visiting exhibitions, galleries and shows, I have always liked large photographs. I don't know why, but I have. Until recently.

PORTRAITS
Should we take a portrait as we see the person or as they see themselves.
Many times when showing a person their portrait, their first reaction is normally that they don't like it. I believe this is mainly because this is not how we see ourselves. We see ourselves in the mirror, which is the reverse image to a photograph. This would explain why selfies are so popular. Let me know your thoughts.

How do you price a piece of art, a photograph, a watercolour or oil painting, an etching, pottery and all creative works.
A subject I have thought long and hard about over the last 35 years.
